| The
GSLPC is the oldest continuously operated
parachute club in the US. It originated in May
1957 west of St. Louis, Missouri. In the early
1970's it was moved to Greenville, Illinois,
where it is presently located. The club owns and
operates a Cessna 206. Other
amenities include carpeted indoor packing, heated
clubhouse, and a large pea gravel pit. The
Greater St. Louis parachute Club is proud to be a
Group Member of the USPA.
The
USPA (United States Parachute Association) is an
organization dedicated to promoting the safe
enjoyment of skydiving. USPA works with skydiving
centers and clubs, member skydivers, and the
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to identify
and eliminate potentially unsafe practices and
provide proper training for instructors and
skydivers.
